Laurel and Nader are a beautiful and dynamic couple. A love story spans over a decade and up and down the California coast line, their nuptials were a celebration of the power of true love.
The wedding was unique and stylish and a personal reflection of the couple. We incorporated the Zoroastrian cultural traditions, to honor Nader's Persian heritage, with the a honey exchange right before the rings were exchanged to symbolize the sweet life that lie ahead. Laurel's blended family meant doubling the father of the bride walk to include her father AND loving step father. These two moments, along with so many others, made their wedding an unforgettable and beautiful moment for all in attendance.
The couple's only request was to make the ceremony brief ("because of the heat" - Laurel) and add a little humor (Nader is a comedian). So, I was finally able to make reference to the Princess Bride. One of my all time favorite wedding scenes in a film. The attendees loved it. After the ceremony, Laurel's cousins were excited to tell me the film was actually their entire family's favorite. What an awesome thing to hear!
Considering how beautiful Laurel looked in that blushing pink gown and crown, the Princess Bride was oh so appropriate!
